Due to us closing down we will be shortening the opening hours of the shop from next week.
From 4th November 2013 we will be open only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday as we begin to clear stock. Our workshop also will not be operating as usual due to not enough staff to cover the shop and workshop during the day, however if you have recently bought a new bike from us we will still do the first free checks.
Thankyou again to all our loyal customers for your support over the years and thanks for all your kind messages on Facebook.
After 20 or so years as Skipton’s largest bicycle shop we are very sad to say we will be closing early next year. The main reason for this is because of a new bicycle shop due to arrive on Skipton High street next year which is going to be a massive set up from the reports we have heard so far.
As i have just mentioned we will be very sad to see the shop go as we have such a great local customer base who we have become to know very well over the years and made a lot of life long friends due to working here at the shop.
As we are closing down we have from today started a 20% off the retail price off all products in store only.
From all of us here at The Bicycle Shop thankyou so much for your custom, support and friendship over all these years.
We are going to miss it.
The new Ragley Bikes website is up and running and our Fraser is on there with his Ragley Marley bike video!
If you have not seen the video yet or the new site then you can view it all here on Ragleybikes.com. Enjoy.
This is Robbie’s new Ragley Blue Pig ride we built up for him the other week on a rare proper summer’s day!
We are big fans here at the Bicycle Shop Skipton of the Mondraker range after having tried a few of their bikes. We were instantly hooked on the new XR series of bikes that they produce. Here is a brief description below.
An evolutionary concept in cycle geometry, Cesar Rojo has taken the design rules book and written a new chapter. Presenting clear advantages for any categories compared with traditional geometry, all benefits are focused to improve the control, handling and riding confidence. Mondraker have taken the current trend that cries out for longer top tubes and shorter stems, and pushed it to its extremities, an extra long top tube and minimal stem length.
Mondraker Zero Platform
Zero is a virtual pivot system, with the rear shock floating between two system links. compressing the shock simultaneously on both sides. Thanks to the pivot and shock’s optimum position the Zero suspension system offers clear advantages when compared to the other systems, providing exceptional sensitivity not possible with a mono-pivot design.
Zero offers total pedaling independence, no noticeable chain elongation, no brake jack and outstanding bump absorption to shrug off big obstacles and enable you to handle even the toughest terrain.

We will have these land with us next week.
We have a Ragley frame 18″ Black at an offer price of £300.00. Normal price is £349.99 rrp.
The frame is new and unused. The reason for the offer is because it came to us as a complete bike and we used the kit off it for our Piglet test bike.
Grab yourself a bargain.
