We are big fans here at the Bicycle Shop Skipton of the Mondraker range after having tried a few of their bikes. We were instantly hooked on the new XR series of bikes that they produce. Here is a brief description below.
Forward Geometry
An evolutionary concept in cycle geometry, Cesar Rojo has taken the design rules book and written a new chapter. Presenting clear advantages for any categories compared with traditional geometry, all benefits are focused to improve the control, handling and riding confidence. Mondraker have taken the current trend that cries out for longer top tubes and shorter stems, and pushed it to its extremities, an extra long top tube and minimal stem length.
Mondraker Zero Platform
Zero is a virtual pivot system, with the rear shock floating between two system links. compressing the shock simultaneously on both sides. Thanks to the pivot and shock’s optimum position the Zero suspension system offers clear advantages when compared to the other systems, providing exceptional sensitivity not possible with a mono-pivot design.
Zero offers total pedaling independence, no noticeable chain elongation, no brake jack and outstanding bump absorption to shrug off big obstacles and enable you to handle even the toughest terrain.
